This design is inspired by ‘De Selby Part 1’ by Hozier.
I wanted an ethereal/uncanny valley feeling for this design. Both the melody and lyrics of De Sleby Part 1 transport me to a dreamscape... or even a world in between asleep and awake. The flowers roots are revealed but untethered to ground to invoke the feeling of being rootless, separated from solid ground. The figure in the center neither descends nor ascends, caught in the metamorphosis of the mind at night.
